Welcome to Pleasant Pastures Weddings and Events! We are so glad to have you attending an event on our property. We hope you feel at home while you visit, and so we ask that you treat our property as you would your own home. Please follow these common-sense guidelines as you enjoy our property:
  • Please respect our livestock! This is a working farm with our amazing Katahdin sheep, fainting goats, chickens, and Angus cattle. 
  • Please do not enter any livestock areas without being accompanied by a venue staff. Your hosts may have arranged for a petting-farm tour. If so, we will announce when that will be happening.
  • PLEASE respect and give space to our working livestock guardian dogs - Ares and Echo! They are always on duty and you should not approach them. Do not bring pets onto the property without prior permission as our working dogs may perceive they are a threat to our livestock. We are not held liable for any damages, injuries, or accidents caused by the mishandling of your pets. If your pets are running lose or approach our guardians, they will do their job to protect our livestock.
  • DO NOT under any circumstance bring alcohol onto the property! This will result in an immediate confiscation and you may be escorted off the property. IF your host has arranged to have alcohol served, it will be provided by trained bartenders. Alcohol service ends promptly at 10:30pm.
  • Please do not enter any of the ponds as they get deep very quickly. They are not for swimming.
  • Parents... PLEASE watch your children carefully! Childcare is not provided unless your host arranged for that. They are your responsibility. Please do not allow them near animals or near the water! Please do not allow them to pick up and throw our landscaping rocks. Please do not allow them to destroy, write on, cut, or mark up our benches, tables, or the tent. If there is damage, we will charge your host a repair fee and we know you would not want them to have to pay anything extra during this special time in their lives.
  • Events end promptly at 11:00pm due to county ordinances. Please exit the property by midnight. Please keep noise down after 11:00pm our of respect for our hardworking farming neighbors.
  • Campers and tent camping will only be allowed by the host's family and wedding party. If you are looking for lodging, there is a hotel providing basic accommodations 15 minutes away in Pierz - Hillbilly Haven. There are hotels in Milaca and Little Falls. The Grand Casino Hotel is only 15 minutes away and provides very nice accommodations as well as a casino. Looking for a cabin or lake house?   • If you are too intoxicated to drive home, PLEASE don't! Please get a ride from a friend and leave your vehicle here and pick it up the next day.  We can provide transportation for up to 7 people within a 
  • If you create a ruckus or pose a security threat, you will be escorted off the property so please have fun and be respectful.
  • Please smoke around the designated smoking area and PLEASE do not smoke inside the tent. This includes vaping! No marijuana is allowed on the property!
  • Please be prepared appropriately for weather, bugs, farm smells, and wear close toed shoes and dress appropriately. This is a working farm and the wedding will be on grass. There may be uneven surfaces. Please prepare for colder temps or the heat depending on the season.
  • Enter the property at 17541 370th Ave Hillman MN 56338 and follow the signs and parking attendants to the parking area. If you need to be dropped off or have handicapped parking, please follow the appropriate signs. Please park in rows where the parking attendants shows you to park. If you'd rather not walk down the trail to the venue, we will shuttle you down. Just wait at the path for the next ride.
