Welcome to Pleasant Pastures Weddings and Events! We are so glad to have you attending an event at Pleasant Pastures! We hope you feel at home while you visit, and so we ask that you treat our property as you would your own home. Please follow these common-sense guidelines as you enjoy our property:
- Please do not under any circumstance bring alcohol or coolers onto the property. This will result in an immediate confiscation and you may be escorted off the property. IF your host has arranged to have alcohol served, it will be provided by our bartenders. Alcohol service ends promptly at 10:30pm. Please treat our bartenders respectfully. Intoxicated individuals will not be served additional alcohol. NO shots will be served.
- Please respect our livestock. This is a working holistic farm with our amazing Katahdin sheep, chickens, and Angus cattle.
- Please do not enter any livestock areas without being accompanied by a venue staff. Your hosts may have arranged for a petting-farm tour. If so, we will announce when that will be happening.
- PLEASE respect and give space to our working livestock guardian dogs - Ares and Echo. They are always on duty and you should not approach them. Do not bring pets onto the property without prior permission as our working dogs may perceive they are a threat to our livestock. We will not be held liable for any damages, injuries, or accidents caused by the mishandling of your pets. If your pets are running loose or approach our guardians, they will do their job to protect our livestock. All approved pets must be leashed at all times.
- Please do not enter any of the ponds as they get deep very quickly. They are not for swimming or wading.
- Parents... PLEASE watch your children carefully! Childcare is not provided unless your host arranged for that. They are your responsibility. Please do not allow them near animals or near the water! Please do not allow them to pick up and throw our landscaping rocks. Please do not allow them to destroy, write on, cut, or mark up our benches, tables, chairs, or the tent. If there is damage, we will charge your host a repair fee and we know you would not want them to have to pay anything extra during this special time in their lives.
- Events end promptly at 11:00pm due to county ordinances. Please exit the property by midnight. Please keep noise down after 11:00pm out of respect for our hardworking farming neighbors.
- If you are too intoxicated to drive home, PLEASE don't! Please get a ride from a friend and leave your vehicle here and pick it up the next day by 11:00AM. We can also provide transportation for up to 7 people within a 40-mile radius for $25 a person.
- If you create a ruckus or pose a security threat, you will be escorted off the property so please have fun in a respectful way.
- Please smoke in the designated smoking area and PLEASE do not smoke inside the tent. This includes vaping! No marijuana is allowed on the property.
- Please be prepared appropriately for weather, bugs, farm odor, and wear close toed shoes and dress appropriately for the environment and weather. This is a working farm and the wedding ceremony will be on grass. There may be uneven surfaces. Please prepare for colder temps at night or the heat & humidity depending on the season.
- There are restrooms at the venue - porta potties and a restroom trailer.
- Enter the property at 17541 370th Ave Hillman MN 56338 and follow the signs and parking attendants to the parking area. If you need to be dropped off or have handicapped parking, please follow the appropriate signs. Please park in rows where the parking attendants show you to park. If you'd rather not walk down the path to the venue, we will shuttle you down. Just wait at the path for the next ride.
- And above all.... please enjoy your time! And if you have any questions... just ask! We are truly honored to host you -
