The story of how Beka and Matthew got engaged is pure, unscripted romance. Rather than a mountaintop proposal or a fancy dinner, it all happened in their kitchen on February 13. At the time, they were just getting over the stomach flu. Amazingly, Matthew went from holding her hair back as she threw up to finding a fidget ring in the bathroom and deciding to propose. Ultimately, this perfectly imperfect moment beautifully reflects their relationship. Grounded, honest, and filled with a love that can conquer even the messiest of days. Beka found her dream dress at The Wedding Shoppe in the Twin Cities. While she may not remember the designer, the feeling it gave her is unforgettable. In fact, the dress, with its beautiful lace details along the sides and train, made her feel absolutely beautiful. Ultimately, it was the perfect blend of elegance and country charm, a true reflection of her personality and the wedding’s theme.

A Rustic Country Garden Dream

Beka and Matthew envisioned a country wedding with a relaxed, pleasant atmosphere. To bring this to life, they chose various shades of brown and pinks for their color palette, which perfectly complemented Pleasant Pastures’ natural beauty. First, they transformed the ceremony and reception spaces into a rustic country garden. Then, the talented Katie Grabau’s floral arrangements enhanced the serene outdoor setting. As a result, the decor blended seamlessly with the venue’s natural charm, creating a warm and inviting space for all their guests.

However, our favorite moment of the day came when Beka and Matthew’s faith was on full display. In fact, they gave honor, reverence, and gratitude to the Lord for bringing them together, and they celebrated His goodness with a couple of worship songs to begin their union.

Food & Entertainment: Guests enjoyed delicious food from Sanchez Burrito in Little Falls, a local favorite. The party was kept lively all night by the incredible DJ Joe Parks and a fantastic emcee, Phil Direksen.
Officiant: Pastor Scott Owens officiated a heartfelt, faith-filled, and memorable ceremony.
Hair & Makeup: Beka and her bridal party looked absolutely radiant, thanks to the talented hands of Mariah Ramos.
